Flexible switching of office Linux and Microsoft desktop platform

Every company thinks of different solutions to reduce the cost of the software license fees.

Some companies, putting themselves into danger, use pirated software. However, the license administrative management department in various places in the country has increased its investigation dynamics on the behavior of commercial use of pirated software. Company should take the administrative responsibility of the behavior of commercial use of pirated software.

Some companies try to launch Linux platform desktop, but Linux platform application software does not have compatible platform with some Windows documents. Therefore, use it in large amount can reduce the software license fees. In addition, we have training for the users of the Linux basic application software to help them adapt to it more easily.

Window platform launches new application software every 3 years. Compared to Linux application software, new Window platform application software has high requirement for hard disk. Hence, the whole batch of desktops has to be replaced in the end. The LDD system can allow company to flexibly arrange different desktops to use different platforms, and there fore decreases the desktop replacement fees as well as protects the environment.

Since the desktop with LDD system doesn’t need hard disk, the calculation for application software license fees is based on how many desktop connected to server’s application software. Therefore, the license fees of licensed software for each desktop can be significantly lowered. For example, for anti- virus software, every desktop has to be charged every year before, however, we can now only purchase 1 to 2 server’s anti-virus software.

Increase security of documents and emails

Since desktop with LDD system doesn’t need hard disk, all documents and emails will be forced to be stored in the central document server. As a result, information can be more effectively backup and authorized. Furthermore, the security loophole of Linux platform is far less than that of Window platform, which lowers the opportunity for hackers to steal company’s documents.

Central server can strongly regulate the employees to restrict them from downloading or installing any program without authorization. Not only it can reduce virus or hacker attack, it can also fill in the loopholes of illegal downloading and hence lowers the risk of company information leakage as well as illegal usage of desktop by employees.

Increase operation efficiency

The virus and hacker attack can be significant reduced and system maintenance expense can be lowered accordingly. Moreover, the chances of hanging for desktop and server can be decreased and therefore company’s productivity can be raised.

Since every document is in the server, company can concentrate in handling document backup and authorization. Not only this can simplify the task for computer department, the efficiency of company can also be benefited from the improved system of handling documents.

Only updating the new application software version in the server once, every desktop which is connected to LDDS can be updated. It is unnecessary to update in every desktop.
