Microsoft can easily extract user’s data to check whether that user is purchasing the licensed software. If using pirated software is discovered, Microsoft will install some processes to user’s computer without user’s consent.
Acise is the software technology company that doesn’t recommend using pirated software. However, we think Microsoft ‘s “Blackscreen Programme” action is stealing personal and company’s information and seriously violating privacy. It also ruins the faith on our customers.
This action reveals that even if company is using the licensed software, but the personal and company’s data might leak out to Microsoft or other places. Hence operating on this platform has no guarantee of security on any information. The confidential information on this platform may leak out to the public anytime and this circumstance is not uncommon in many places.
Many people think that Microsoft’s Blackscreen action is forcing pirated software users to switch from the Windows XP platform to Vista platform. Pirated software users need to give up computers that have used for 2 to 3 years if they decided to change to use the Vista. Not only they will waste a considerate amount of money to get the new hardware, they also will be forced to give up large amount of hardware that can still be used. This can cause serious environmental destruction.
Some of the net mates suggest terminating all the updating processes preset by the Microsoft. Not only this will cause difficulty to basic users, it is also a very dangerous behavior- as we all know Microsoft software itself has many security loopholes. Even though there is continuous renewal of platform versions and installation of anti-virus security software, it can only fill in part of the security loopholes.
There might be some technicians suggest that the whole company can use Linux platform and the open source software, however, some financial websites in the mainland use hardware that only support Windows to match identity. In addition, company’s design and application software only support Windows, which makes this Linux policy difficult to implement.
